Officials blew two calls in a row in the first half of the Week 7 game between the Patriots and Vikings. First Adrian Peterson appeared to barely cross the goal line on a 1st down run from the 10 yard line. He was ruled down at the one yard line and Vikings coach Brad Childress did not challenge the call. On the next play Adrian Peterson appeared to be stopped short but the play was called a TD on the field. Patriots coach Bill Belichick challenged the call but the ruling on the field was upheld.
In the end these calls didn’t affect the outcome of the game, but they were simple calls that officials should be able to get right.
