Michael Jenkins bobbled the ball on his huge 3rd down catch late in the 4th quarter vs the Ravens. He went out of bounds as he was bobbling the ball and then secured it. The play was ruled a catch on the field. Because the play happened with less than two minutes left officials called for a review of the play. The ruling on the field was upheld and the Falcons went on to win the game on another controversial catch by Roddy White.
What I don’t understand is how this play could be called a catch, but these plays by Calvin Johnson and Arian Foster were ruled incomplete. Ravens fans have a right to be upset after the officiating broke down late in the 4th quarter in what was a great game up until that point.
